Two massive Oaks
Two massive Oaks
Stand and watch
Over Seneca Lake.
Still holding leaves
In late December
Brown and brittle.
One leaf dances
In the wind as
Others remain quiet.
Beautiful Oaks
Guarding the lake
In mist and snow
And waiting.
